Single Site Verification
Users of TEMS Pocket 22.2 will be able to purchase the VeriSite option, which allows TEMS Pocket to be used by non-technical staff to commission new Radio Network Sites.
VeriSite allows non-technical staff to perform single site verification (or site commissioning), without needing to know how to operate the tool, or what measurements need to be performed.
They only need to be told where to go, execute the predefined workflow containing all the required tests and the tool will clearly indicate when each test is completed and if the acceptance criteria is passed. After the completion all resulting data is uploaded centrally, and a new site can be tested.

Auto-Pinpointing
Reduce time to collect indoor measurements by about 50% with our automatic pin-pointing functionality
5G scanning with PCTEL IBflex™ and HBflex™
TEMS Pocket provides a lightweight solution for 5G scanning.
Connect your scanner via Bluetooth or USB to your TEMS Pocket device. It saves weight compared to a PC-based solution, and makes it optimal for indoor and walk testing.
The PCTEL scanner is a highly flexible test tool for the traditional wireless spectrum.
With 5G NR testing capabilities on sub-6 GHz bands, it can be used to clear spectrum or test 5G NR alongside LTE, legacy 3G, and 2G wireless network technologies.
TEMS Pocket 22.2 can perform 5G NR RSSI scan and NR Signal Scan using the PCTEL IBflex scanner or the PCTEL HBflex scanner.
Auto-pinpointing
The automatic pinpointing, utilizing technology available in most smartphones supported by TEMS Pocket reduces the time to collect measurements with about 50%.
Instead of focusing on where to add the next pinpoint, you can now walk at your own pace making use of the built-in smart positioning functions in the phone. The auto pinpointing also leads to a more accurate positioning of each measurement, which in 5G NR becomes even more important.
This is part of our automation program for smart testing and is currently included in TEMS Pocket Professional offerings.

Additional Features
Support for Android 10
TEMS Pocket 22.2 now supports devices that use Android 10.
5G NR Signal Scan with PCTEL IBflex™ and HBflex™
Utilize the portable TEMS Pocket formfactor and the new TEMS Pocket 5G Signal Scan to gain detailed information on your 5G network site coverage indoor, where NR Cell ID and Beam Index of the 8 strongest beams per SS Burst are shown in the GUI. For each Beam SSS RP, SSS RQ and CINR are shown. Of course full metrics are stored in the trp logfile for full postprocessing at a later stage.
Improved Network Attach/Detach
To improve registration testing, the Network Attach/Detach functionality (in some cases called Flight Mode) in TEMS Pocket and VeriSite has been reworked. This gives more stable and reliable results recorded to logfiles available on more devices.
Centralized Test and Result Administration
TEMS Pocket devices can be controlled remotely from TEMS Director Fleet. This enables teams of TEMS Pocket users to be controlled from a single site. We have also introduced support for TEMS Pocket units in Controller mode. These can also receive works orders from TEMS Director Fleet, thus simplifying large scale deployments of both outdoor and indoor testing.
In situations where multiple TEMS Pocket devices need to perform the same tests, using identical maps-sets and scripts, TEMS Director Fleet can synchronize all aspects. Centralized administration of test scripts and maps saves time and ensure accuracy, and using the automatic data upload you also benefit from immediate results delivered to the central point.
Further functionality and logging will be added in upcoming releases, please contact
TEMS Sales for more information.

New Backpack with Improved Controller-Agent
A brand-new backpack improving the TEMS Pocket Controller/Agent solution is introduced with TEMS Pocket 22.2.
The backpack is intended for walk-testing with a larger number of devices simultaneously using a single controller device. It includes a built-in CPU ensuring the USB-based communication between the controller and the agents is much more stable than the earlier Bluetooth-based solution.
The backpack can hold up to 12 TEMS Pocket devices, a PCTEL scanner, offers device charging from hot-swappable batteries, built-in Wi-Fi for the controller, and fans controlling the working temperature in the backpack.
TEMS Pocket Supports NB-IoT
This means that LTE NB-IoT networks can now be tested from a handheld device. Leveraging the auto-pinpointing functionality, NB-IoT testing can be done extremely efficiently. Most NB-IoT devices with a USB connector can be used, but we have good results using the Exelonix R410m that supports Band: 5, 8, 20, 28. Detailed reporting is available using the Qualcomm feature for detailed radio logging in .trp file.
Our solution is based on service testing focusing on UDP / HTTP / DoNAS (RTT) / attach / detach procedures. With device control managed via AT commands to ensure quick adaptation to supported services. Views in the Idle category are populated, and measurements are recorded to logfiles for further analysis in TEMS Investigation or TEMS Discovery.
The new backpack can hold up to 12 TEMS Pocket devices.
