Enhanced 5G Planning

Dynamic Spectrum Sharing (DSS) is a key feature for operators to accelerate the rollout of 5G by dynamically sharing usage of 4G LTE spectrum with 5G NR, reducing the investments in new frequencies and radio infrastructure. Thanks to its precise coverage and capacity analysis coupled with traffic maps, Planet allows you to make sure DSS is introduced with a minimal impact on subscribers’ experience while assessing realistically what 5G coverage and throughput your network will deliver.
The new Planet DSS capability is validated to be fully compatible with the Ericsson DSS implementation (ESS) and can be paired with 4G and 5G Carrier-Aggregation in NSA or SA mode.

Planet 7.4 introduces breakthrough propagation calculation capabilities with its new Planet Distributed Radio Propagation Engine (D-RPE). The enhanced Call Analytics module provides engineers ability to plan, troubleshoot and optimize network all within same solution. This option supports the import of new. native format call trace files from multiple RAN vendors using multiple technologies.
